Far-Red Fluorescence Microscopy avoids Sample Auto Fluorescence
Glen Spectra are pleased
to announce the release of two new filter sets designed for far-red
microscopy dye systems optimised for various light sources.
Fluorescent labeling in the far-red region of the light spectrum is
expanding, as long wavelength dyes can now virtually eliminate sample
auto-fluorescence. The new filter sets also provide the wide spectral
separation essential for multi-labeling experiments.
To aid researchers with
these developments, Glen Spectra has expanded its range of filter
sets for fluorescence microscopy. Sets are available for the far-red
region of the spectrum and cover the most popular excitation
wavelength sources, including Ar-Kr, He-Ne and Red Diode Lasers.
The XF138-2 ALPHA Vivid
set combines an ALPHA shortpass excitation filter, with a 690nm ALPHA
longpass filter. It is ideally suited to the use of Ar-Kr mixed gas,
He-Ne, and Red Diode laser lines and maximises emission throughput.
The XF140-2 ALPHA Vivid
set has a wide bandpass excitation filter and is suited to the
broader band Mercurcy Hg arc excitation energy.
