Caged
Compound sets use extended reflection dichroics, enabling researchers
to use both an uncaging filter and an exciter with the same dichroic.
Both filters are mounted in a motorised filter wheel in the
excitation path so that imaging quality can follow immediately after
uncaging. The dichroic, as well as a specific emission filter for the
fluorophore being uncaged, is housed in a conventional filter holder.
