Dedicated Filter Sets for Flow Cytometry

Filter sets for flow cytometry are now available from Glen Spectra. These sets are specifically designed to sort and analyse cells expressing Green Fluorescent Protein, Yellow Fluorescent Protein or similar mutants.

The XF500 GFP/YFP Flow Cytometry Set is designed to work with the 488nm line of the Argon-Ion of Krypton-Ion laser. Using this 488nm line, GFP and YFP can be simultaneously excited. The shortpass Dichroic reflects the YFP signal to one PMT whilst transmitting the GFP signal to a second PMT. The respective signals are then refined using two emission filters in front of the PMT's.

Also available is a set designed for the separation of Cy5 and Cy7 and their related conjugates. The new XF501 filter set reflects CY5 signal whilst transmitting Cy7.
